The Fluoride Deception by Christopher Bryson.

“‘The Fluoride Deception’ reads like a whodunit. There are conspiracies, cover-ups, human casualties, and broken careers. The prime suspects in this toxic thriller are compounds of fluoride; the coconspirators represent industry, the military, and the public health community. At the book’s ending, the suspect chemicals are not proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, but we are left with compelling evidence that powerful interests with high financial stakes have colluded to prematurely close honest discussion and investigation into fluoride toxicity.”

The Case Against Fluoride

"In this timely and important book, Dr. Paul Connett, Dr. James Beck, and Dr. H. Spedding Micklem take a new look at the science behind water fluoridation and argue that just because the dental and medical establishments endorse a public health measure doesn't mean it's safe. In the case of water fluoridation, the chemicals that go into the drinking water that more than 180 million people drink each day are not even pharmaceutical grade, but rather a hazardous waste product of the phosphate fertilizer industry. It is illegal to dump this waste into the sea or local surface water, and yet it is allowed in our drinking water. To make matters worse, this program receives no oversight from the Food and Drug Administration, and the Environmental Protection Agency takes no responsibility for the practice. And from an ethical standpoint, say the authors, water fluoridation is a bad medical practice: individuals are being forced to take medication without their informed consent, there is no control over the dose, and no monitoring of possible side effects.

At once painstakingly documented and also highly readable, The Case Against Fluoride brings new research to light, including links between fluoride and harm to the brain, bones, and endocrine system, and argues that the evidence that fluoridation reduces tooth decay is surprisingly weak."

Is the author if the report; "Human Toxicity, Environmental Impacts and Legal Implications of Water Fluoridation."  The report was primarily written for Europe, specifically Ireland however, fluoridation and the harmful effects  from the element fluorine effect and affect everyone including our environment.  The level of research combining known information provides a very comprehensive review of fluoridation in the world including as applied to Prince George.  This work has been used in Israel, looking to ban fluoridation and other parts of the world.

The fluoride debate

'In this booklet, The Fluoride Debate, we have juxtaposed the arguments presented by the American Dental Association (ADA) with comments from many of the independent scientists who have examined the issue with an open mind.

We believe that if people take the time to read and study both sides of the fluoridation debate — especially the science that has emerged over the last ten years — they will be appalled by the practice of putting this known toxic substance into the public drinking water. The benefits have been wildly exaggerated and the risks have been downplayed. Behind the scenes many dentists acknowledge this situation but the ADA maintains such a stranglehold on the profession that it is dangerous for them to become openly critical of the practice of fluoridation. Even though the ADA is an association, not a governmental agency, it has a great deal of influence on dental matters through its lobbyists in Washington, D.C., and the almost universal and dominant presence of its members on State Dental Boards. These Boards have the power to remove a license from a practicing dentist in the state, and thus can keep dentists "in line" on controversial issues like fluoridation.

We hope that this website will encourage more dentists to break ranks with the ADA and rescue this profession from its short-sighted promotion of this dangerous, unethical and unnecessary practice. "

A STRUGGLE WITH TITANS - G.L. Waldbott, MD.

PREFACE

"For eleven years I have engaged in medical research on the effect of fluoride on the human organism.  Some of my data have been published in medical journals.  They include three monographs which encompass original observations and much of the world’s medical literature on fluoride with emphasis on research which is difficult of access.

Because of  the constant increasing interest in this subject and because of the many conflicting data, I decided to make some of the information, thus far gleaned, available to the general public.

While exploring this subject, I have observed many practices usually not encountered in medical research.  My original plan was to confine myself to presentation of purely scientific data in the bool of encyclopedic proportion.  This has been temporarily laid aside in order to narrate personal experiences in an unending struggle and the trials and tribulations of one who found himself swimming against the stream."

Fluoride: Drinking Ourselves to Death. By Barry A. Groves (reviewed by Albert W. Burgstahler.

"As might be expected from the title, the author makes no secret of his concern about the health risks of water fluoridation.  Written primarily for the general reader, he nevertheless has assembled an impressive array of referenced information of interest to anyone engaged in research concerning important biomedical and environmental aspects of fluoride and fluoridation.  In a very orderly way, he marshals clear evidence that the substantial decrease in dental caries seen in many developed countries during the last 50 years have occurred to about the same extent without fluoridation as in locations with fluoridation.  Likewise, he records telling examples, of the contrary to prevailing expectations, of tooth decay rates continuing to decline in places that have discontinued fluoridation."

"Fluoridation is the greatest case of scientific fraud of this century, if not of all time.
Dr. Robert Carton, formerly US Environmental Protection Agency

Fluoride is more toxic than lead and only slightly less toxic than arsenic. Yet it is routinely added to the drinking water of five million people in Britain and more than two and a half million people in Ireland. They are given no choice.

This mass medication is justified for reasons of dental health but there is no scientific evidence to prove the benefits of fluoride. Indeed all the evidence points incontrovertibly to the harm caused by fluoride to human, plant and animal life.

Fluoridation has been abandoned or is banned throughout continental Europe, China and Japan. Nevertheless governments and health authorities in Britain, Ireland and elsewhere are determined to pursue a policy of mass fluoridation, using arguments that are based on flimsy scientific evidence and ignoring increasing public concern.

In this carefully researched and persuasively written book, Barry Groves has assembled an impressive body of evidence and opinion from throughout the world showing that the case for fluoridation of water is based on poor science and dogmatic ignorance rather than on any scientifically proven benefit to public health. His conclusions are truly alarming for everyone concerned with their own health, that of their families and of society in general.

A Systematic Review of Public Water Fluoridation (2000)

NHS Centre for Reviews and Dissemination, University of York, Dental Public Health Unit, The Dental School, University of Wales, Cardiff University of Leicester, Department of Epidemiology and Public Health

Better Known as the York Report on Fluoridation (2000)

"Conclusions

This review presents a summary of the best available and most reliable evidence on the safety and efficacy of water fluoridation.  Given the level of interest surrounding the issue of public water fluoridation, it is surprising to find that little high quality research has been undertaken. As such, this review should provide both researchers and commissioners of research with an overview of the methodological limitations of previous research conducted in this area.

The evidence of a benefit of a reduction in caries should be considered together with the increased prevalence of dental fluorosis. The research evidence is of insufficient quality to allow confident statements about other potential harms or whether there is an impact on social inequalities. This evidence on benefits and harms needs to be considered along with the ethical, environmental, ecological, costs and legal issues that surround any decisions about water fluoridation. All of these issues fell outside the scope of this review.

Any future research into the safety and efficacy of water fluoridation should be carried out with appropriate methodology to improve the quality of the existing evidence base."
